On April 2nd, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame honoured folklorists Helen Creighton and Edith Fowke posthumously with the Frank Davies Legacy Award. Family member Mickie Zinck accepted the award on Helen's behalf.

The Helen Creighton Folklore Society is named in honour of folklorist Helen Creighton (1899-1989), who collected and published traditional music and lore of Maritime Canada.
