The Helen Creighton Folklore Society presents:

WTF – What The Folk!

folksongs – folkmusic – folktales – folkcraft – folklore
open mic, unplugged coffeehouse

Co-hosted by Cindy Campbell [466-0157] and Margo Carruthers [425-3828], with occasional guest hosts.
Second and fourth Friday evenings of every month (with some exceptions).
Come anytime after 6:30 pm. Entertainment from around 7:00 to 9:00.

Location: the historic George Wright House (AKA the Local Women’s Council House) on the corner of Inglis Street and Young Avenue in the South End of Halifax. Use the 989 Young Avenue entrance, through the ramp door. Parking is available on the surrounding streets. There is also a pay parking lot next to the apartment building at 1030 South Park Street. Do not park in the driveway of the Wright House. There are four bus routes that pass by the corner of South Park, Young and Inglis during WTF time – #14 and #29 plus the University Routes #10, and #18. The #7 comes as close as the corner of South Park and South.

Admission is by free-will donation towards the Society’s work.

Most WTF Nights have themes, although performers aren’t required to stick to the theme of the night.
